Having been in the hair and beauty industry for the past 40 years, I feel very proud of having created a wonderful salon to work in and the luxurious environment you will enjoy during your visit. We work as one team, at the highest level, through continual training and development. We consistently provide great service so no matter who you see in our team, you will get a look you'll be delighted with and an experience you'll keep coming back for.
Jade has been at The Cutting Company since 2008, working her way from beauty therapist to the Salon's Manager. Having been in the beauty industry for over 22 years she has an over abundance of knowledge about the products and services we offer. If you need any advice, Jade is our salon oracle.
Sharon is the first smile you see when you enter the salon, her warmth instantly puts you at ease. Clarins is her new found love; with a previous 15 years experience working on counters with names such as Elizabeth Arden and Christian Dior she has a superb insight on how to get the best from your skin. Sharon's charm, love and subtle Scottish accent makes her a firm favourite with clients and the team.
Sally is an exceedingly sought-after stylist. Joining The Cutting Company in 2004, it's no surprise that she has a large client base so it's best to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Her ability to tailor each cut to work perfectly for her clients is second to none and her involvement in regular training keeps her up to date with new colour techniques. Sally is the one if you want that outstanding look with some added pizzazz.
Colleen has been part of The Cutting Company since 1991. being in the industry for an amazing amount of time means Colleen has watched trends come in and out and back in again! The constant change within the hair industry means that she is able to adapt between styles effortlessly. Colleen truly shows off her attention to detail in more short, edgy styles and complimenting them with the right colour.
Danielle's approach to creating precise yet understated hair is mesmerizing, alongside a natural ability to perfectly recommend hair colour and styles to suit each client creates stunning work. Being a member of the team since 2005 she truly adds her 'Danielle spark' to the team. Outgoing and creative, she is a great stylist to choose if you want not only to leave with flawless hair but also have a good chat.
Anya's career in the industry spans over 30 years. being an exceptional listener allows Anya to focus on your hair goals and blend them perfectly with her expert advice to create a true masterpiece. Anya is an incredibly talented stylist when it comes to unruly and fine hair types, not just making the most of what you've got but enhancing it. Anya's goal is to not just make her clients look better but feel better.
Lydia joined The Cutting Company in 2014. Pushing herself comes naturally as she has not only completed her NVQ level 2 and 3 here but also the most advanced colour programme. to become a Wella Master Colour Expert. This has increased her technical knowledge of all Wella Colouring, helping to provide the most pioneered colour services. Lydia takes great care to combine her clients vision with technical knowledge to create a perfect, bespoke, tailored look.
Amanda is one of our most versatile Directors with a superb talent for combining cutting & colouring to create a total look for her clients. Her welcoming manner allows you to instantly be put at ease and excited for your hair dreams to be achieved. Amanda is a wonderful Mummy to two little girls so is currently working Wednesday and Thursday 9.15-5.30pm.
Holly's attention to detail makes her foiling work and blunt, sharp cuts flawless. With over 10 years hairdressing experience, 6 of which working in Australia, Holly has perfected her balayage techniques to create that ideal beachy blonde effect. Her love of polished, clean fashion trends diffuses into her hairdressing style giving you a super clean and modern overall look.
Ellie has a wonderful passion for hair dressing, coming from a long line of expert stylists, her talent and flair comes naturally. With a warm, friendly personality she is great with clients of all ages, making everyone feel welcome. Ellie enjoys having a variety of clients throughout her day but particularly enjoys creative balayage. She also has two little girls so currently works 4 days a week, including an evening with Saturday appointments every 4 weeks.
Aimee is an incredibly enthusiastic stylist. She has proven herself as a great asset to the hairdressing world. Her marvellous talent and welcoming manner makes her variety of clients love her! She's social media savvy so don't be surprised if you see your hair looking like it’s straight from a pinterest board or in a 'tik tok' or two. Aimee works 3 days a week, including 1 evening and 1 saturday evening 4 weeks.
Beckie trained at The Cutting Company joining back in 2018. Her fresh enthusiasm toward hairdressing makes her committed to delivering the best experience for her clients. Indulging in fashion and trends herself, she wants her clients to find their own personal style, walking out the door not only looking stylish but with new knowledge on how to look after their hair at home. Beckie is one of our full-time stylist working 2 evenings until 9pm and every Saturday.
Beauty Therapists
Alex is a fabulous all round beauty therapist, SHe has been a part of The Cutting Company since 2009 and has grown a strong and loyal clientele. Her abundance of knowledge on Clarins is exquisite and goes hand in hand with her love of the Clarins Advanced Expert Facials. Also loving all things nails, she offers a wide range of manicures and pedicures. Alex is also our only beauty therapist who offers the Indian Head Massage, and with her kind and caring aura she will put you straight into relaxation.
Holly is our lash and brow wizard, looking at her brows you can understand why! Recently completing her Magpie Gel Conversion course means her pile of certificates is getting higher and higher, adding another string to her bow. Holly has recently come back from maternity leave so is working Thursday 1pm-9pm and Fridays 9am-5:30pm. With a variety of skill sets means you can go from waxing to a pedicure to a facial, without even leaving her treatment room.
Emma is known for her exceptional skills in waxing, and her diploma in Speed Waxing keeps her holding her title. Aside from waxing, she especially loves doing nails where she can let her creative side show by creating wearable nail art looks. Emma also offers our Clarins Expert Facials which are a favourite amongst our clients, using a combination of proven products with relaxing massage, what's not to love!
Rosie’s attention to detail will ensure your nails are a work of art. From intricate designs to personalised patterns, she can turn your fingertips into a canvas. Her expertise extends beyond nail art; being a waxing wizard, her gentle touch and precision will make your waxing experience as comfortable as possible. She’s also up-to-date with her Clarins training, ensuring that she can offer our Expert facials to keep your skin looking its best. Rosie works full-time, including two evenings and Saturdays meaning you have more opportunities to book in your favourite treatments.
Hairdressing Apprentices
Our fantastic hairdressing apprentices are working hard towards their NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing. Alongside working in the training academy they also help with all the day to day jobs in front of house and behind the scenes to keep the salon running smoothly.
